The blade, sides and faces are ground. The blade and faces are polished. Remnant pecking is visible. Jadeite is from the Alpine (Piedmont) area. In the Neolithic, Alpine quarries of Mont Viso produced small axe and adze-heads which were distributed across Western Europe.More
