The first mentions of the monastery date back to 1570. In 1698, a monastery church was built, which has survived to this day. In 1775, the church became an ordinary parish church. It was thoroughly rebuilt in 1802, and restored in 1832. Separate icons from the church are kept in the Oleskyi Castle and in the Museum of the History of Religions in Lviv.
