Hurling (Irish: iománaíocht/iomáint) is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic and Irish origin, administered by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The game has prehistoric origins, and has been played for over 3,000 years.
A hurling stick from Derries, County Offaly, in the National Museum of Ireland, Irish Folklife collection dated to between AD 1467 - 1531. The “hurley” was 3D laser scanned using a Faro platinum arm.
