Norsk: Denne klokken er laget av Odd Dahl under Maud-ekspedisjonen i årene 1922-25.
Dahl lagde klokken av materiale han fikk tak i på land i Øst-Sibir. Enten har han byttet det til seg hos de lokale tsjuktere eller funnet materiale selv. Klokkens bein er av hvalrosstenner, urverket er skåret ut i hvaltann og de runde skivene i topp og bunn, samt pendelen er av mammuttann.

English: This is the only clock of its kind. It was made by Odd Dahl during the Maud Expedition, 1922-1925, from material he obtained on land in Eastern Siberia, either by trading with the local Chukchi or by finding himself. The legs are walrus tusks and the clockwork mechanism is carved from whale tooth. The round pieces at the top and bottom and the pendulum are made from mammoth tooth.
