The LOD METEOR IV Modra is a high-speed Meteor-class hydrofoil, constructed in the Soviet Union around 1990 (yard: Russia) and operated under the Slovak flag by Lodná Osobná Doprava (LOD)

It’s a hydrofoil, meaning it uses underwater wings (“foils”) to lift the hull and minimize drag for fast river travel. It regularly plied passenger routes along the Danube, notably between Bratislava and Vienna, with occasional excursions to Budapest and other stops.
