Hyperextension (Hip Focus) - often called a “Back Extension” can be perfomred a few different way.
In my expereince this machine is mostly used to the glutes through an isolated hip hinge motion. Its important to note that the hamstring will also reach full extension if yur knees are locked or almost locked out. To take the strain from the hammy hams I suggest you keep a slight bend in the knees. This will allow you to focus on a full stretch and extension in the glutes.
