More model information幕末に幕府がアメリカへ派遣した使節団は、会食で供されたアイスクリームに驚き、その美味を書き残している。そして明治2年に横浜でアイスクリーム店が開業、この時期函館などで氷が生産、出荷されるようになったことも追い風となり、各地でその美味を楽しめるようになった。 本資料は、行商や縁日の露店で用いられていたと思われるもので、外側の桶に入れた氷で内側の容器を冷やし、アイスクリームを作ることができる。当時はそれを1杯1銭から2銭ほどで販売していた。
A delegation to the U.S. by the shogunate was amazed by the ice cream served at a dinner and wrote about its delicious taste. In 1869, an ice cream store opened in Yokohama. The production and distribution of ice in Hakodate, Hokkaido, also provided a tailwind, and ice cream became available in many parts of Japan.
