From Thorodssen (1901), overlain on LMI is50v DEM, georeferenced through QGIS, shadows added by terrain shading plugin. Slight errors in the gerreferncing are due to inaccuracies in the original mapping. In certain areas (e.g. Mýrdalssandur) the country may now be larger/smaller due to erosion or deposition.
