Imperial Era (1300 AD - 1532 AD) Wooden sculpture depicting a tall Chimú character with a funeral mask, holding a ceremonial vessel. Sculptures like this one decorated the main courtyards of the Chimú citadels. In this way, a scenography was created in which these characters continued to preside over the main ceremonies of this society.
