La Iglesia La Matriz es un templo católico que se ubica el centro histórico de la comuna de Valparaíso, V Región de Valparaíso (Chile). Los primeros habitantes de la ciudad se emplazaron en los alrededores de su capilla original, la cual fue construida de paja y barro en el año 1559. Tras el ataque de corsarios y sismos que azotaron la bahía, en 1842 se inaugura la cuarta versión del templo, y que corresponde a la estructura que permanece en pie hasta nuestros días. En 1971 la Iglesia La Matriz y su entorno fueron declarados Monumento Histórico y Zona Típica, otorgándole así la importancia histórica que el templo y el sector tienen para Valparaíso y el país.
