The Shoukau-class was a class of Aircraft carriers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy in the 1930s and fought in nearly every single naval battle of the Pacific. Shoukaku and Zuikaku were laid down in 1937/1938 and were completed in 1941. Both ships were present on the attack of Pearl Harbour, but got sunk over the course of the war. Shoukaku got sunk by an american submarine in 1944, Zuikaku was sunk by aircraft not that long after. At the time of their construction they were highly advanced and could carry a high amount of planes.
This model was made by me with the help of the original recognition manual from the US Navy and features only the most important pieces of detail. I made this model for myself to produce a small fleet, and printed this model with my Resin Printer Elegoo Mars in 1/4000 with nearly no loss of detail. This is by no means a good model, but it is enough to be recognizable at such a small scale. The detail for the AA on the side is way too high and it doesnt get printed well.
