A bronze helmet in the Illyrian style. The helmet is of the late type, which includes ridges over the head, elongated triangular cheek pieces, a neck gaurd, and a studded decorative border. The helmet may be dated between the 6th and 4th century BCE, on the basis of comparanda. This style of helmet was open faced to provide grater visibility than the popular Corinthian style.
