More model informationThis Inca effigy vessel represents a puma, a symbol of power and strength, as well as the earthly realm. Still in decent condition (despite the broken rear and hole in the neck), paint representing the puma’s spots, eyes, whiskers, and teeth are readily visible.
Originally housed at the Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois, this vessel now resides in the Michigan State University archaeological collections.
