Incantation Bowl with Demon Lilith

Mandaic script appears on interior and exterior of this ceramic bowl, along with the line drawing of an unnamed demon. Features of the character suggest that it is the demon Lilith. In spite of the rather cheerful expression drawn on the figure, the demon was thought to be fearsome and dangerous. The written magic spell is an attempt to remove ‘curses and incantations’ from Quqai, Abi, and their children.
