More model informationThis model is from the actual 3D sonogram dataset of a 31 week fetus In-Utero. The fetus is lying along the margins of the placenta on one side and what appears to be a contracting uterine wall, on the other. These minor contractions are called “Braxton Hicks” contractions and are precursors to the much stronger contractions in approximately 8 to 9 more weeks, during actual labor.
