Invasive danger: A foreign frog

New Zealand is home to four species of archaic frogs, which are each vulnerable to extinction. Several other frog species have been introduced to New Zealand, and these ‘invasive’ species can be serious threats to the native frogs. This skeleton is from a cane toad Rhinella marina, which does not have an established population in New Zealand but is a major pest species in Australia.
