At some point, consumer products get sidetracked from their previous iterations, appearance-wise. This time, Apple chose to revisit the design from their iPhone 5S, essentially changing only the guts to more up-to-date hardware and rebadging it as “Special Edition”. So called because this particular iPhone goes against the trend other manufacturers live by, which is making phones every time bigger than the previous model.
