Equestrian figures are ubiquitous throughout history. This particular artwork was created by an artist who, at this point, is unable to be identified but resided in a Dogon-speaking community in what is today Mali. While researchers are unsure of the religious meaning attached to these iron figures, the artwork remains compelling in its graceful symmetry.
