"It won't last long" - Halloween 2015 Contest

My entry for the Sketchfab Halloween Contest 2015.

It is a diorama-like scene showing a single moment from a single night on a parallel world graveyard. But it’s not an ordinary night. Once per year there is a time when those who slumber beneath rise and spread the chaos. The only ones holding them back are ghouls gravediggers, graveyard workers condemned for the eternal connection with that place. But somehow this night seems to be different than the others. Who could expect that it won’t last long…

I decided to create the scene which isn’t just a small simple story. With the annotation attached to it, you can learn the main story of this place, but it’s not the end. I want to invite the spectator to take control over the camera and search for multiple little stories, more ordinary ones. There are plenty of characters who mind their own businesses.

As a sidequest, try to count the number of skeletons in the scene. Those who are more or less full, skip the separate bones flying around.
