More model informationIn July 2021 a team from Factum Foundation was sent to the castle of Rocchetta Mattei, at a short distance from the city of Bologna, to record in high resolution a 15th century circular bas-relief (tondo) recently attributed to the early Renaissance sculptor Jacopo della Quercia (1374-1438). It represents the Bolognese captain Niccoló Ludovisi on horseback carved in limestone.
Carisbo Foundation commissioned a facsimile of this important proof of Jacopo della Quercia’s activity in Bologna.
