More model informationThe 233 ft bulk freighter James Pickands was built in Cleveland in 1886. It sank in 1894 when it ran aground on Sawtooth Reef blinded by smoke from forest fires. Subsequent storms broke it in half making it not worth refloating. Much of the machinery was later salvaged. Today it is a somewhat rarely visited dive site. The model was created from 2,114 30-megapixel images shot in the 2024 season.
