This pediment is located on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University. Shriver Hall’s pediment used to be plain white until the recent renovations in 2019. The building first opened in 1954 and has hosted performances by prodigies, lectures by Nobel laureates, and appearances by a president and presidential hopefuls.
JHU’s motto is “Veritas vos Liberabit” (“Truth will set you free”), adopted by the board of trustees in 1885.
