The Johnson Beach Wreck, also known as Jack’s Wreck, is one of the maritime cultural resources located within Gulf Islands National Seashore. The wreck sits in the tidal zone and is occasionally uncovered by heavy storms and wave activity.
Use a mouse or, if on mobile, your fingers, to rotate, pan, and zoom to view the model from any angle. Use the “J” and “K” buttons on your keyboard, or tap the sides of your screen on mobile devices to cycle through points of interest, or click on them in any order. Tapping on images will redirect you to high resolution photographs of the wreck to get a closer look.
Like all archaeological and historical sites and resources within Gulf Islands National Seashore, the Johnson Beach Wreck is protected by federal law. If you find the wreck uncovered, please do not disturb timbers or remove additional sand, and alert Park Rangers. Take only photos and leave only footprints!
