Dark gray-brown pottery vase with flaring top. Sinuous decoration in high and low relief on incised background. The rope pattern on this jar is typical of the Middle Jomon Period. The pot is in the Kassaka-style (勝坂式) from the Chubu Region, possibly northern Nagano.
