Joseph’s Fountain on the Graben in the 1st district of Vienna. The fountain consists of an octagonal fountain basin. In the center a square pedestal with two relief panels with the scenes “Flight from Egypt” and “Angel seems Joseph in a dream”. On the east-west axis in each case a water-spouting lion’s head. On the pedestal is a figure depicting St. Joseph in ancient garb and carrying a staff, leaning down to a boy holding a scroll, the family tree of Joseph.
