More model informationJudaculla Rock is a large soapstone boulder located in an Archaic soapstone quarry on the Caney Fork Creek in Jackson County, NC. The 22 square meter surface contains numerous images and 1,458 cup marks. The density of images makes them hard to decipher. The rock has special significance for the Cherokee and is named for Judaculla, the slant eyed Master of Game. The rock is located on a trail from Callower to Wannabee Bald. Those locations are Jucaculla’s birthplace and townhouse. Judaculla rock contains more hieroglyphs than any other site east of the Mississippi River. It is linked both stylistically and temporally to the Track Rock Gap hieroglyphs in Northern Georgia. 31 JK3,
