The ibis-headed god Thoth, or Djehuti in ancient Egyptian, was the Scribe of Judgment. When the deceased person (on the left) made his Negative Declaration asserting a life well-lived, Djehuti took notes. He appears to be particularly skeptical of the declarations in this example.
