Jurassic Storm 3D Model
This render hopefully shows some more information that a 2D photo cannot, however it does not truly reflect the 3D qualities of the original fossil and should be just taken as an approximation of it.
Just finished this piece entitled ‘Jurassic Storm’ The flatstone nodule contains three different types of ammonite. From left to right Asteroceras sp. Promicroceras sp. and Xiphoceras sp. Dimensions of ammonites respectively: 8 cm 8 cm and 10.5 cm Matrix 48 cm x 36 cm. The original nodule matrix has been sculpted to represent the sea from which the ammonites originally lived.
