Model of the Emperor Joseph II. monument in the park of Schönbrunn Palace. The equestrian statue by Franz Anton Zauner dates from 1797 and has been in the palace park since 1808. It served as a model for the equestrian statue of Emperor Joseph II on Josefsplatz in the Hofburg, which was unveiled in 1807. It took 10 years from the design to the finished monument. The model for the equestrian statue was the monument of Marcus Aurelius.
