Kamisamuraizuka kofun (1) is 114m, and Kamisamuraizaukakita kofun (2) is 48.5m. Both of these tombs are zenpo-kohofun (square front, sqare back mounded tombs), and Kamishizuka is the second largest zenpo-kohofun in Tochigi prefecture. They are considered to be the tombs of the local rulers. About 330 years ago, world’s first academic survey was conducted on Kamisamudaizuka kofun and the Shimosamuraizuka kofun located 800 meters to the north (for more information, please refer to the model of Shimosamuraizuka kofun https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/shimosamuraizuka-kofun-d98ec9c9581e42a281b983d567dcf77f).
