The Kamisamuraizuka Kofun measures 114m in length, while the Kamisamuraizuka-kita Kofun is 48.5m long. Both are zenpo-kohofun (square-front, square-rear mounded tombs), and the Kamisamuraizuka Kofun is the second largest of its kind in Tochigi Prefecture. They are believed to have been the tombs of local rulers. About 330 years ago, the world’s first academic survey of ancient tombs was conducted on the Kamisamuraizuka Kofun and the Shimosamuraizuka Kofun, located about 800 meters to the north(For more information, please refer to the model of the Shimosamuraizuka Kofun). https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/shimosamuraizuka-kofun-d98ec9c9581e42a281b983d567dcf77f).
