More model informationWedding present for two friends of mine: a pair of custom amiibo figures (with NFC functionality, but they’ll need to figure out the characters on their own :) )! I’m very happy with how these turned out considering I came up with the idea late enough to be under a bit of time pressure - I especially like the interlocking bases to make sure they’re always looking at each other.
This sculpt was done almost entirely within Nomad, with a little help from Maya to get the shape of the bases just right and simulate the embroidery cloth (everything else was hand-sculpted, which I think didn’t turn out too bad for my first attempt at sculpting clothes). This is also a slightly lower-res version than the original I used for the print (which tbh turned out MUCH lower-res than this anyway 😅), but it’s still quite a hefty file. One of these days I’ll practice manual retopo.
But first and foremost, I’m posting this so my friends can look at their gift with all the intended detail. Congrats, you two! 🧡
