High resolution 3D scan of Kateryn Winnick for the History Channel’s “Vikings” TV series.

This model was later 3D printed at full size and used by the make up department as part of their production pipeline.

The 3D scan was captured on set by our 3D scanning specilist Elaina, with the whole process only taking a few minutes. This is becoming a popular alternative to life casting, which is both time consuming and very uncomfortable for the actors.

The Scanner used was the Artec Spider, which is portable, non-invasive and has an accuracy of up to 0.05mm.
