More model informationBuilt in the 17th century by the Emire Fakhreddine, this caravanserai accomodated French merchants and goods in order to develop trade with Europe. It is a typical khan with a large, rectangular courtyard and a central fountain surrounded by covered galleries. Wonderfully restored courtesy of the Hariri Foundation (www.hariri-foundation.org), now houses Saida’s tourist office and the ateliers of some craftspeople.
The 3D model represent only a side of the courtyard.
