Kilgobbin Exhibitionist Figure DU026-0040043D ModelNoAI
There are two carvings on the cross located in an old landway on the Stepaside Golf Couse in S. Dublin. On the SW face is a large figure carved in high relief. The head is oval in shape with ears, two large oval eyes and a frowning mouth. The shoulders are set apart from the body and long arms extending to hands over pelvis. Legs spread apart and extending below the surface. The NE face has a large high relief circle which surrounds a head. The mouth appears to protrude over this circle and is shown with bloated lips. Two large eyes and a nose appear quite worn within the circle. The body is long and slender. Arms are straight beside the body with hands turned with thumbs inwards by hops. Legs are spread slightly apart and extend beneath the surface.
