The Kilmartin area is one of the finest places for seeing some of mainland Scotlands finest prehistoric monuments.

The southern circle is a ‘rebuild’ of the earlier northen circle, using some of the same stones, relocated and incorporated into the new site.

There have been many interpretations suggested for the site, but the best place to learn more is www.kilmartin.org/ .

Hopefully once current restrictions ease, visiting in person will soon be under way.
