The SS Kilmore was a steam powered (bulk) freighter built in 1890. The ship measures 87 meters long and 11.6 meters wide. It has a displacement of 2215 gross tons and 1420 net tons. The SS Kilmore is propelled by a triple expansion steam engine, driving a single propeller via a shaft to the stern. On 1906-07-29, because of misunderstood navigation intentions, the Montezuma ripped open the starboard side of the Kilmore, after which it sunk. In 2016, along with 7 other wrecks, the SS Kilmore wreck was recognized as underwater cultural heritage.
