Apparatus portrait of King Carol I, head and bust in military tunic with military decorations, including the Order of the Crown of Romania. The artist choose for a contrast between the king’s face, modeled in detail, while the tunic and cloak are treated synthetically, with ample surfaces on which the medals can be distinguished. The sculpture was interpreted probably after a photograph. Signed and dated on the back left: Fr. Storck Bucharest 1900.
