More model informationThe Roman buckling bowl is burnt light brown and has a red matte glossy finish. The upper part is concavely projecting. A reinforced bend is visible slightly below the center of the vessel, and the lower section is slightly convex. The standing ring is convex. Italian provenance? Ceramic; h 6,6 cm; Dm 10,2 cm; end of 1st century A.D.
Buckling wall bowl were already produced in Italy in pre-Roman times. In Noricum, this type can be proven from the early 1st century AD. Similar bowls are also produced in Rhenish production sites from the 1st century AD onwards.
