More model informationAnother decimated model of the group of rocks classified as Knock 3 in Monreith (Dumfries and Galloway). The panels are located on a knoll near the coast. This particular panel has three very particular carvings. The circles depicted are not typical, and the carving technique is different from the one usually used on the classic cup-and-ring examples. In this case, the circles were obtained through a sequence of small cupmarks or dots. The texture of the surface is quite rugged, which makes it difficult to visualise the motifs.
