Kv Renstrommen, Norrkoping, Sweden3D Model
In 2017 an archaeological excavation was made in the plot Renstrommen, Norrkoping, Sweden. The ground has scince then been occupied with new buildings. The ground contained remnants of buildings, courtyards and cellars from houses erected in the 1600 and 1700. The area covered 1100 square meters. The oldest phase was foundations from buildings built in the 1620:s and was identifiable on the oldest map over the town. Several structures were found that could not be identified in the maps covering this era. These structures has led to new knowledge over the area. A rich material of findings were made covering ordinary pottery, pottery from China, glass, clay pipes, animal bones and a very unique wooden pipe.
