De watertoren in het Kamp van Beverloo (gemeente Leopoldsburg - Limburg - Vlaanderen).

The watertower in the military camp (barracks) of Beverloo (nowadays ‘Leopoldsburg’). The initial built of the watertower was just before the outbreak of World War 1. After the Great War, the watertower was completed and taken into service from 1920. Its location (51° 6‘43.81”N - 5°18‘28.91”E) is in the ecercise field, and South of the airfield ‘Sanicole’ (EBLE) .

I built the watertower in its early colors (brick wals, concrete, plaster etc.). Nowadays, after the last restoration, the main body of the watertower is coated in white plaster.

The watertower has a “twin” in South Africa: in Northcliff Ridge Eco Park ( 26° 8‘42.22”S - 27°58‘9.77”E). It is almost (a few differences in the structure) an exact copy.
