“Labor Tea is a portraiture installation about memory, displacement and labor. Inside each tea bag is a photo of someone who fled during the Salvadoran civil war. Victor came across these passport photographs during his time in El Salvador. Many of these people made their way to the United States to join the labor force. But because of immigration laws and the challenges of cultural assimilation, many still remain hidden.”
