Lake Meston Hut with interior

A series of four recordings were made in February 2021 of high country huts in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park, Tasmania. Lake Meston Hut is similar in design to Junction Lake Hut (also recorded in this series) but is of log-walled construction instead of pole-frame and paling. The two huts are only two or three hours walk apart and were both built by Dick Reed, well-known bushman and pastoralist of the Tasmanian Central Plateau.
