More model informationLarsa is a vast archaeological site of over 200 hectares between the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers in Lower Mesopotamia. The millennia-old city reached its peak in the early second millennium BCE. The eastern gate of the city had passages from 4 m before narrowing to 1 m, described as ‘massive’ to ‘pincer’ gates. According to André Parrot, in which the Parrot Gate was named, the structure became an advanced bastion in the Hellenistic period, where many projectiles have been found. Digitised by participants during the Tech 4 Heritage workshops in Babylon, Iraq.
