More model informationRepaired late nineteenth century publisher’s binding (The Oceanic Publishing Company) for History of the Catholic Church in Australasia, from authentic sources (OCLC No. 1078977009). Provenance of James Cardinal Knox (Archbishop of Melbourne from 1967 to 1974). Brown goatskin with gold tooled decorations including gold tooled facsimile of Patrick Francis Cardinal Moran’s signature and with blind tooled fillets. This was likely repaired during the 1970s, with a lot of adhesive (PVA?) residue where the leather has been pasted. The red rot on the spine and cover was treated with methylcellulose (Klucel G).
