More model information

A badly damaged lead flask from the Randall Manor Dig, Kent, England. Enigmatic object of late 13th or early 14th century date. Without a known parallel (as of December 2015). Resembles a large lead kostrel. Buried under the floor of the main building of Randall Manor, as a possible votive deposit or house blessing?

The community of professional archaeologists and volunteers have been working at Shorne Woods, Kent, for over 10 years. Initially the work concentrated on the site of the medieval manor known as ‘Randall Manor’. In more recent years work has expanded to include other sites within Shorne Woods Country Park and the Kent area. At times our team have joined other Kentish archaeology groups in helping them with their projects.
