painted in Vermillion VR based on a tutorial video “More Illusions of Detail - Painting the Illusion of Depth” by Stuart Davies. I think it’s important to point out that this is my fourth ever painting I did consciously in my life, ignoring the few lessons in basic school decades ago. I was never into painting art or similar. But I’m a big fan of VR and discovered Vermillion on Steam. So I just played around with the app for an hour, painting something very primitive, not knowing any of the brushes. Then I discovered videos shared by the community on Discord. Bob Ross, remembered the genius in the TV series from my childhood, he did things which seemed impossible. So I decided to give it a try, followed a first video and “Wow!”. For the first time I created a believable sky, realistic looking water, then I tried to imitate the painting techniques from Davies, which works except the “tissue wiping” and here it is my second Davies, I’m happy with it :) ..and amazed what’s possible to learn in one week!
