Leather Shoe from Hallstatt (NHMW-Prae 89.085)3D Model
3D scan of a shoe found in the prehistoric salt mine in Hallstatt, Austria. The shoe is ca. 2,700 years old and was made of untanned cow skin. The NHM Vienna has been excavating in the prehistoric mine since the 1960s.
The shoe from Hallstatt can be found in Hall 12 of the NHM Vienna.
