More model informationLabel stop in weathered limestone, located on the west side of the south door of St Peter the Apostle Church, Broadstairs. Forming part of the outer moulding of a pointed arched doorway within a flint-faced wall. The carving represents a human head - possibly female - wearing a veil or wimple that frames the face and falls to the shoulders. The facial features, though softened by erosion, retain traces of modelling around the eyes, nose, and mouth, giving the figure a serene expression. The stop projects boldly from the chamfered arch moulding, with a carefully squared neck base integrating it into the surrounding masonry.
