This is my take on LEGO 6285 in microscale.
I was in primary school when this model (6285) came out, and my parents couldn’t afford to purchase it for me and thought it would be a good lesson for me to save for it. So I teamed up with my younger brother and we washed cars, did odd jobs for people, and saved for 12 months until we could put enough together to purchase this set. I’ll never forget the day. $120 paid for in small coins. Took forever to count it.
We enjoyed building it so much, we immediately broke it all apart and built it a second time. It has stayed built ever since (roughly 32 years later). Being the good sport that he his, my brother let me keep it at my place in a glass cabinet to remind me that we can achieve anything if you’re willing to work hard enough for it.
